THE KLEINWALSERTAL
Walking in the Kleinwalsertal
Camping Vorderboden and the Kleinwalsertal offer a plethora of leisure activities. You cannot afford to miss the mountain adventures organised by the Alpine School: try crossing a river on a narrow suspension bridge, abseiling 40 metres from the Schwende bridge or whizzing down the cable pulley at 40 km/h. It’s a programme which guarantees thrills and excitement for all the family. Have you ever tried canyoning? Come and"conquer the ravine" safe in the knowledge that you firmly attached to the mountain guide’s rope.
Biking in the Kleinwalsertal
There is nothing that can compare with the simple pleasures of cycling. On your own or with a guide, a mountain bike tour is the best way to discover the clear air of the Walser mountain meadows.

Our tip
The Freiberg lake above Oberstdorf and the open-air pool down in the valley at Riezlern offer the perfect opportunity for cooling off after an international hike across the mountains.
The popular footpath from Mittelberg to Baad passes the camp site. This track leads to the walking areas of the Bärgunttal, Wildental and Gemsteltal, as well as to the picturesque countryside above Baad. Most walking tracks can also be explored by mountain bike.

Children’s programme
Our extensive children’s programme, available throughout the summer holiday period, cannot fail to impress your youngsters. Burmi, the children’s mascot, usually takes part too.
Folk theatre, brass band concerts, slide shows, the Bergschau exhibition (with finds from the Stone Age) and the Walser Museum are just a few extra highlights to round off the entertainment on offer. A visit to the Casino Austria is always an exciting way to spend an evening. Messieurs, faites vos jeux!
